SD. The Chamber of Deputies on Thursday announcedit will bestow recognition on Guatemalan citizen an Nobel Peace Prize laureate RigobertaMenchú.
"Dr. Rigoberta Menchú is committed toher militant work in defense of the rights of the indigenous community of hercountry and Central America," the Deputies said in a statement.
Menchu is in the country to take part in an event to recognize women leaders.
