Gov. to install road signs as traffic fatalities mount

Santo Domingo.- Public Works minister Gonzalo Castillo on Thursdayannounced the installation of road signs that weeks to reduce fatalities in trafficaccidents in Greater Santo Domingo.

He said the Signaling Plan is carried out onpresident Danilo Medina’s instructions and will be concluded within the next 30days.

He said after that date the program will beexpanded to national highways and local thoroughfares in all provinces.

Fatalities

Dominican Republic has been ranked at the topin traffic fatalities in the Americas and second worldwide, a dismaldistinction evidenced by the deaths in separate accidents of two Major LeagueBaseball players last Sunday.
