SOS: blue ooze menaces green lagoon

Santo Domingo.- A video gone viral in thelast few hours in the social networks shows two men calling on Environment ministerFrancisco Dominguez, to observe a lagoon’s extreme pollution.

The video shows a murky blue liquid flowinginto the crystalline waters of Laguna Mallen in San Pedro (east). The men donningmotocross garb invite the minister to visit the site and see the situationfirst hand.

They complain that the pollutants are dumpedinto the lagoon by nearby free zone factories, ask Dominguez to take action.
