Rhythms to rock Cabarete beach at DREAM Spring Music Fest

Cabarete, Dominican Republic.- This special event will be on Friday April 21 in Lax, Cabarete Beach, from 6pm, with the musical participation of DREAM Project and ISS students as well as guest artist Riccie Oriach from Santo Domingo.

DREAM Spring Music Festival seeks to promote the cultural initiatives of the DREAM Project in the community of Cabarete. Every week, 85 young people and children between the ages of 8 and 18 participate in DREAM Music Programs, receiving musical instruction in different areas and instruments learning different styles ranging from jazz and world music to Bachata and Dominican meringue, with the goal of inspiring young people to improve their quality of life through the craft of art.

The goal of this event is to raise funds, through donations, to fund the annual music camp, which aims to include 80 to 100 young people from Cabarete and surrounding communities. Our intensive program of 6 hours of instruction Musical instruments and sets, with professional musicians invited from all over the country.

The DREAM Project is an innovative non-profit organization made up of people with similar philosophies who believe that the most complete solution to end poverty in the Dominican Republic and the world community is through quality education.

DREAM has quickly become one of the most effective and visible organizations working in the field of education. In total, the DREAM Project works in 27 different communities, offering 15 quality educational programs to more than 7,000 young people and more than 10,000 community members. We believe that quality, initial and continuing education is the most effective way to break the cycle of poverty and change destinies.

Our vision is that all children born in the Dominican Republic have the opportunity to receive an education and learn to their full potential. We are hopeful that our efforts can multiply to allow opportunities for each child’s gifts. Our goal is to break the cycle of poverty. It is our DREAM that the world will be a better place for children and families of the next generation.
