April prices climb 0.27% paced by foods

Santo Domingo.- Dominican Republic’s Central Bank on Thursday said consumer prices climbed 0.27% in April, compared to March, placing the accumulated inflation to April at 1.11%

It said annual inflation, measured from April 2016 to April 2017, stood at 3.51%, “remaining within the range target of 4.0% ± 1.0% established in the Monetary Program.”

On its website, the Central Bank said food and non-alcoholic beverages (0.64%), was the group which had the most influence on April inflation.
