Southwest Airlines to add Punta Cana-Lauderdale flights

Santo Domingo.- Travelers from South Florida will have more options to get to the Caribbean island nation of the Dominican Republic starting this fall.

Southwest Airlines is adding daily direct flight to Dominican Republic’s most visited tourist destination of Punta Cana, from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport beginning Nov 9. A one-way ticket to Punta Cana will be going for as low as US$129.

The flights will be available after government approval. The listed ticket prices are available if purchased from May 18 through the 22nd and can be used from Nov. 6 through Jan. 7, 2018, miamiherald.com reports.
