Santo Domingo.- The Green March Movement on Friday invited all citizens of the East region and the rest of the country to its regional march in San Pedro de Macoris on Sunday, to demand that the Odebrecht case be taken to its “ultimate consequences.”

They said it’s a peaceful protest that will start at 10am in front of the Porvenir sugar mill, and head toward the city’s downtown, in front of San Pedro Apostol Cathedral.

They said the Movement “has prepared a special team to ensure order during the demonstration which is another example of te citizens’ demand.”

“This Sunday, June 11, Altagracia, La Romana, Hato Mayor, El Seibo and San Pedro de Macoris march to help cleanse our people from the quagmire of corruption and impunity that keeps us mired in poverty and institutional disorder,” the movement said in a statement.
