‘Eagle’ traffic cops ticket 3,000+ motorists; violations fall

Santo Domingo.- The Metropolitan Transit Authority (Amet) affirmed Monday that since it started its  “Equipo Águila” (eagle team) preventive plan yesterday, it ticketed more than 3,000 motorists.

“There’s a remarkable decrease of citizens transiting on motorcycles, cargo and passenger transport who incur in violating the ban of using tunnels, elevated avenues and overpasses,” the Amet said.

In a statement, the Amet adds that the first week of the Aguila Team’s actions “have been a success and will be permanently vigilant to enforce the law.”
