Tropical wave will bring showers, thunderstorms

Santo Domingo.- The National Weather Office on Tues. said a tropical wave will bring showers, thunderstorms and possible wind gusts over all regions except the Northwest.

“Onamet monitors a low pressure system located 1,200 kilometers west / southwest of the Cape Verde Islands with an 80% chance to become a tropical cyclone during the week, but due to its position and displacement doesn’t pose a threat to the Dominican Republic.”

It forecasts that temperatures will remain seasonably high.

It said Greater Santo Domingo will be partly cloudy to cloudy with scattered showers.
