Southern provinces pact top push tourism development

Punta Salinas , Bani, Peravia.

San José de Ocoa, Dominican Republic.- The ecotourism clusters of southern San José de Ocoa and Peravia provinces in Thurs announced an agreement to collaborate on tourism development in both provinces.

“The Sustainable Tourism Development agreement aims to establish a multi-destination wit incentives to bolster existing projects, improve current infrastructures and create the conditions to attract new investments to both provinces,” said a statement from Peravia Province Tourism and Production Cluster president Juan Tejeda, and San José de Ocoa Tourism and Production Cluster president Rafael Read.

They added that the agreement seeks to improve the training of staff currently working in hotels and fast food facilities as well as existing restaurants.
