Olympics silver medalist Luguelín Santos now racks up the gold

Brussels.-   Luguelín Santos, 400 meters silver medalist in the London 2012 Olympics, returned to Brussels with another victory , winning the race at the Diamond League with a time of 45.67 seconds.

Santos, born in Bayaguana (east) 23 years ago, emerged from the last turn with a slight advantage that he stretched out along the straight to beat with a wide margin of 43 hundredths.

Second place went to Rabah Yousif (46.10) and the third to Martyn Rooney (46.29), both British.

Santos was also a bronze medalist at the World Championships in Moscow, and won the gold in the Taiwan University Games less than one week ago.
