Queens of the Caribbean blast Puerto Rico, head to Japan

Santo Domingo.- The “Queens of the Caribbean” pounded their eternal rivals, Puerto Rico, 3 sets to 0 (26/25, 25/21, 25/15) to win the gold medal of the Copa Viva Women’s Volleyball Qualifying Championship , played in Juan Pablo Duarte Olympic Center Sunday night.

The Dominican team finished undefeated after sweeping Guatemala, Jamaica and now Puerto Rico.

Despite the results of the match, the Dominicans and Puerto Ricans had already classified for the 2018 World Cup in Japan.
