Medina attends conclave on sustainable tourism in Jamaica

Montego Bay, Jamaica.- President Danilo Medina on Tues attended the opening of the World Tourism Conference, w here the Dominican head of state was received by Jamaica Tourism minister, Edmund Bartlett.

The opening of the “Conference on Employment and Inclusive Growth: Partnerships for Sustainable Tourism” began at 8:30am, local time, in the Montego Bay Convention Center.

World Tourism Organization (WTO) secretary general Taleb Rifai, spoke about the challenges of sustainable tourism and the wellbeing it represents for the people. “Each challenge is a global challenge; this Conference is a unique opportunity.”
