Spring Training camps draw 210 Dominican players

Santo Domingo.- The Major Leagues Baseball Spring Training camps, which open today and until March 29, will have 210 Dominican players worth watching.

Of that total there will be 159 protected in the roster of 40 men, 83 in the National League and 76 in the American.

Another 51 are on the list of outside roster guests, one that may increase in the coming days with free agents looking to close pending deals.

The Dominicans account for 11.8% of the 1,773 players who were called to join the camps in Florida and Arizona as of yesterday; 1,200 of them within the 40-man roster and the rest with no guaranteed spot, whether members of minor league teams or figures yet to be tested.
