Medina cuts ribbon on Datacenter that provides 65 services online

Santo Domingo.- President Danilo Medina on Thurs. cut the ribbon for a modern Datacenter that will provide 65 new online services, so the population can access documents and certifications from government agencies.

The Datacenter is part of the Digital Republic platform.

As part of the activity, several agreements were signed, one of them with Microsoft, to expand the coverage of Internet services.

Moreover, among the services currently available to citizens figure 32 for businesses, 12 from Health and Health Insurance Services, six from the Treasury, two from the Hydroelectric Energy agency, among others.

Another agreement commits all internet providers to place Wi-Fi points in strategic areas across the country.
