Multi-sector platform business round nets US$200.0M in deals

Santo Domingo.- The multi-sector entity ProDominicana on Mon. said its “ProDominicana Conecta” business round closed with over US$200.0 million projected in export transactions , during the third edition of the HUB Camara Santo Domingo 2018.

An estimated US$ 69.6 million correspond to the industrial sector; US$44.9 million to agro; US$44.2 million to fruits and US$21.8 million to vegetables.

Likewise, some US$35.1 million correspond to other businesses.

Buyers from Jamaica, Cuba, the United States, Panama, Aruba, Granada, Martinique, Puerto Rico and others forged deals to acquire Dominican exports ranging from avocados and pineapples, to cardboard boxes, juices, cement, toilet paper, packaging material, among others.

Over 1,800 business meetings were scheduled during the “ProDominicana Conecta” platform, an innovative virtual space designed for exporters to showcase their products and services to buyers around the world, as well as their productive capacity and their quality certifications, to bolster the entire Dominican exportable offer.

The business round of the HUB’s third edition gathered 150 buyers from over 40 countries.
