Dominican Republic among 40 nations with most air links

Lakeland, Fla.- Civil Aeronautics Board (JAC) president Luis Ernesto Camilo, on Mon. said the Dominican Republic has become the leader among 40 nations with the most international air connections, which he attributes to the security the country provides.

The official, who heads the country’s delegation at the “Sun & Fun” aviation fair in central Florida, revealed that the flow of tourists climbed 7% in the first four months this year.

Camilo said the country has signed 20 air agreements with nations and international organizations in one year, with more in the  offing, “which has made it the leader in the largest number of connections, due to the facilities and security.”
