Airports contractor to revamp 4 major terminals

Santo Domingo.- Airports management contractor Aerodom on Wed. said it will build and remodel the passenger service areas of four of the main international terminals.

Airports Dept. director Marino Callante, said Aerodom director. Monika Infantes presented the investment and remodeling plan for the terminals at the Airport Commission meeting last week.

He said 70% of Aerodom’s investments will be earmarked for Las Americas International Airport, which includes remodeling the main service areas and replacing all restrooms.

The remaining 30% will be for the Higüero (Balaguer), Puerto Plata (Luperón) and Samaná (Catey).

Collante added that his agency conducts daily inspections of the main areas at Las Americas and Luperon, to detect problems and irregularities, and find solutions.
