Biggest Dominican solar project in gets financing: Latin Lawyer

Santo Domingo.- A specialized outlet on Mon. reports that the law firm Pellerano & Herrera in Santo Domingo has advised The Netherlands Development Finance Company (FMO) in a US$38 million refinancing granted to Taiwanese energy company.

Latinlawyer.com says that General Energy Solutions will get the financing to develop the Monte Plata Solar farm, the country’s largest solar energy plant.

“General Energy Solutions relied on Loeb & Loeb in New York and Jiménez Cruz Peña in Santo Domingo. The deal closed on 10 April. FMO is also thought to have hired Hogan Lovells, but this could not be confirmed prior to publication,” the outlet said.
