US Federal Trade Commission delegation visits president Medina

Santo Domingo.- US Federal Trade Commission chairwomanEdith Ramirez on Friday visited resident Danilo Medina in the National Palace, where they discussed varioustopics.

Ramirez arrived to take part in the II National CompetitionForum: "Impact of Competition in Economic Growth, Social Equity and FairDistribution of Goods and Services."

This activity hosted by the National Competition ProtectionCommission aims to create awareness in Dominican society on the importance of achievingmore efficient markets for goods and services and to optimize the citizens’ purchasingpower.

Also present in the meeting were US ambassador James W.Brewster, Dominican National Competition Protection Commission president MichelleCohen, Federal Trade Commission associate director Russ Damtoft, and US embassyeconomic attaché Norman Galimba.
