Dominican Republic to host first Sustainability Fair in 2025

Santo Domingo.- The Dominican Republic will hold its first-ever Sustainability Fair, a multi-sector event organized by the Economic and Social Development Council of Santo Domingo (Codessd) and Proexpo. Set for April 2-3, 2025, at the Hotel Embajador in the National District, the event will focus on uniting public and private institutions in efforts to promote sustainability across various sectors.

Samuel Sena, president of Codessd, emphasized that the fair will not only address governmental and business issues but will also involve the local community. “We cannot enjoy a full life if we do not take care of our environment,” he noted. Francisco Valdez, general manager of Proexpo, explained that the fair will offer a platform to add value to companies and institutions committed to sustainability, with a positive impact on citizens both in the short and long term.

The event will feature a diverse range of participants, including foreign experts, multilateral organizations, academic institutions, government bodies, and private companies, all of which are actively engaged in sustainability initiatives.
