The prices of several fuels in the Dominican market will fall

The Deputy Minister of Domestic Trade of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and MSMEs (MICM), Ramón Pérez Fermín, reported this Friday that the Government provided a subsidy of 532.5 million pesos to subsidize fuel prices for the week of February 22 to 28, 2025.

A press release explained that the subsidy aims to keep the prices of essential fuels for the family economy and the productive sectors unchanged. At the same time, the prices of four other hydrocarbons will fall.

Consequently, in the indicated period, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) will be subsidized at 29.96 pesos per gallon, regular diesel at 23.97 pesos, optimal diesel at 23.63 pesos, regular gasoline at 14.05 pesos, and premium gasoline at 4.20 pesos.

Fuel prices

For the week of February 22 to 28, 2025, fuels will be marketed at the following prices:

• Premium gasoline will be sold at 290.10 pesos per gallon; maintains its price.
• Regular gasoline, 272.50 pesos per gallon; maintains its price.
• Regular diesel, 221.60 pesos per gallon; maintains its price.
• Optimal diesel, 239.10 pesos per gallon; maintains its price.
• Avtur, RD$204.95 per gallon; it drops 1.54 pesos.
• Kerosene, 235.90 pesos per gallon; it drops 1.70 pesos.
• Fuel oil #6, 163.67 pesos per gallon; it drops 2.31 pesos.
• Fuel oil 1%S, 174.70 pesos per gallon; it drops 0.82 pesos.
• Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), 132.60 pesos per gallon; maintains its price.
• Natural Gas, 43.97 pesos per m3; maintains its price.

The average weekly exchange rate is 62.28 pesos, according to the daily publications of the Central Bank of the Dominican Republic.
