Grupo Posadas announces opening of Fiesta Americana Funeeq in Punta Cana

Punta Cana, Dominican Republic – As part of the DATE 2025 celebration, Grupo Posadas organized an event at the Live Aqua Punta Cana hotel, attended by tour operators and the Group’s main production accounts, to announce the opening of its new resort, Fiesta Americana Funeeq Punta Cana, scheduled for the summer of 2025.
This new hotel concept, designed to offer unforgettable experiences for families, friends, and business travelers, will be located adjacent to Live Aqua Punta Cana, an adults-only luxury hotel, thus expanding the chain’s presence in the region.

During the event, Tania Berger, president of Berger Group Hotels, expressed her enthusiasm for the opening of Fiesta Americana Funeeq Punta Cana. She also shared the great news about the acquisition of a new hotel in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, which Grupo Posadas will also manage.

Enrique Calderón, Vice President of Operations Upscale & Luxury at Grupo Posadas, explained that the name of the new resort, Funeeq, is derived from the combination of the English words “fun” and “unique,” which reflects the essence of offering unique and enjoyable experiences for all guests.

This concept represents the brand’s vision of celebrating life through memorable moments, whether with family, friends, or business events.

Fiesta Americana Funeeq Punta Cana’s main attractions include a water park suitable for all ages, a bowling center, and multiple courts for paddle tennis, basketball, and soccer.

In addition, the resort will share its facilities with Live Aqua Punta Cana, a modern convention center featuring 10 multifunctional rooms equipped with state-of-the-art audiovisual technology, ideal for events and large celebrations.
