Tropical wave brings scattered showers, thunderstorms

Santo Domingo.- Scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue resulting from the humidity associated to an active tropical wave, mostly Wednesday afternoon.

The National Meteorology Office said the system moves west around 30 kilometers per hour along Dominican Republic’s south coast bringing partly overcast skies along the Caribbean Sea.

It said the downpours will be more frequent in the Southeast, Southwest, Central Mountains and border zone, and maintains flash flood, swelled rivers and mudslide warnings for the eastern and southern provinces.

Meteorology forecasts scattered clouds, with increasing probability of thunderstorms in the afternoon.
