‘Hail the flag wave so high and much higher’

Santo Domingo.- The walls of the Altar of the Nation steeped in history was the site chosen by president Leonel Fernandez Friday to head the tribute to the Dominican flag.

The activity gathered thousands students and teachers from the different schools of the National District, where Patriotic Events Commission president Juan Daniel Barcacel announced the start of a nationwide campaign on the correct use of the Flag, the Shield and the National anthem, in the next few days.

The official said the success of this effort toward awareness will depend on the support of the public and private sectors, as well as the mass media.
