System brings increasing cloudiness, scattered showers

SANTO DOMINGO.- The National Meteorology Office on Monday forecast increasing cloudiness and showers from a frontal system over central Cuba moving eastward.

It said the system will also increase waves and winds along the country Atlantic coast.

Onamet said a low pressure system located over Colombia is bringing strong winds and higher surf along the country’s southern coast, for which small craft are warned to remain in port in the Atlantic coast as well as the Caribbean.

It said temperatures the prevailing east-southeast wind will bring seasonably warm during during the day and slight increase in cloudiness and showers in the Northwest, North, Southeast, Central Mountains and the border zone during the next 24 to 48 hours.
