Agents find drugs on US-bound Jet Blue plane at Santiago’s airport

SANTIAGO.- Drugs Control and Airport Security agents conduct a wide search aboard a Jet Blue plane after drugs were detected prior to takeoff toward the United States from Santiago’s Cibao International Airport on Tuesday morning.

Several ramp service employees are being for questioning since the drug was found in the aircraft’s cargo hold.

The Jet Blue flight was about to depart 10am to New York, but the authorities have yet to release details on the quantity or type of drug, presumably cocaine or heroin.
