Scattered showers Friday, mostly sunny weekend

Santo Domingo. – The tropical wave that brought Thursday’s downpours left partly cloudy skies, for which the northeast, southeast, southwest and the Central Mountains can expect scattered showers.
The Office Meteorology National (Onamet) maintains flash flood warnings for of La Altagracia, El Seibo, Hato Mayor, La Romana, San Pedro, Monte Plata, Santo Domingo, San Cristóbal, San José de Ocoa, Samana, Maria Trinidad Sanchez, Dajabón and Elias Peña provinces, but may be discontinued later in the day.
It said there’s a low probability of rain for the weekend, but with possible widely scattered showers and thunderstorms for the border and Central Mountains.
Onamet adds that as the result of higher than normal waves along all coasts, it continues its warnings for small craft, which should remain close to shore.
