Services held for 6 killed in Santiago collision

Santiago. -Pain and despair reigned over yesterday’s wake for two of the six people who burned to death after their vehicle collided into a power line post.
Services for Mia de los Angeles, 7, and her grandmother Romelinda Espinal were held yesterday at the Blandino Funeral home, while those of Victor, Carmen, Doris and Alba Espinal occurred in Jaibón, Laguna Salada. Their domestic worker, whose name wasn’t provided, was buried in Cotuí.
Four of the dead lived in New York and New Jersey and were visiting relatives in Santiago.
The authorities have yet to provide clues as to led to the accident, which thus far has been blamed on mechanical failure.
