Dominicans mourn loved ones

Santo Domingo.– Thousands crowded the country’s cemeteries during the Day of the Dead to leave flower offerings, clean the tombs and pay homage to lost relatives.

Amid the mud caused by Hurricane Sandy’s rains, people sought the tombs of their loved ones and offered them daisies, roses, carnations and sunflowers. Many had to swim among the weeds to find the graves.
