Central Electoral Board and UASD sign agreement

Santo Domingo.– The Central Electoral Board (JCE) and Santo Domingo State University (UASD) reached an agreement Friday in which the JCE is committed to improving all the steps necessary to implement electronic voting and ensure transparency and credibility during internal elections in 2013 and 2014.

The agreement was signed by JCE president Roberto Rosario and UASD headmaster Mateo Aquino Febrillet.

Under the agreement, the JCE is to guide and assist the UASD in their electoral processes to modernize the voting system, as well as to update the procedures.
