Rough surf, mostly sunny skies

Santo Domingo.- Meteorology (ONAMET) today cautioned small craft operators to remain near shore and not venture out to sea, on higher than normal winds and waves along the Atlantic and Caribbean coasts.
It said a high pressure system over the North Atlantic dominates the weather, with a low probability of rain for the entire the country.
It said however that the East-Northeast wind drags cloudiness onshore, with widely scattered showers for the Northeast, Southeast, Midwest and Central Mountains, with the same conditions continuing Wednesday.
For Thursday, ONAMET forecasts a slight increase in rainfall for the Northeast, Southeast and central Cibao regions.
