Two men arrested with 20,000 extasy pills headed to New York City
Santo Domingo.- The National Drugs Control Agency (DNCD) on Tuesday announced the arrest of two men trying to smuggle 20,000 extasy pills to New York City.
The detainees Jefry Alexander Peña, 25, and Teodofilo Adrian Santana, 23, tried to board Jet Blue flight 536 headed to the U.S. from Cibao International Airport, said DNCD spokesman Roberto Lebron.
He said the two men will be charged with possession of the drug found in two false-bottom baggage.
Lebron said the 20,000 tablets were distributed in two packages containing 10,000 tablets each.
