1965 Revolution leader to the National Pantheon April 24

Santo Domingo.- April 1965 Revolution leader colonel Francisco Caamaño will be entombed in the National Pantheon in a ceremony headed by president Danilo Medina next Wednesday, the Exaltation Committee announced Sunday.

It said the burial will be through a cenotaph, which won’t contain Caamaño’s body and awaits a DNA test on the remains buried at the of Maximo Gomez cemetery, in the National District.

In a statement the commission said Forensic Sciences (Inacif) conducts the tests and once the remains’ authenticity is confirmed, the Commission will decide on the date to transfer them to the Pantheon, before several events to honor the National Hero.
