Santo Domingo.- The head of the trade unions grouped inthe CNUS Tuesday announced they’ll cut off talks with employers unless theymake a counteroffer to their demands of a wage hike.

He said they met Monday with the congressional committee whichweighs senator Adriano Sanchez’s proposal on legislation to increase workers wages.

Abreu said employers have been “inflexible” thus far andthat their offer doesn’t provide a salary that covers the workers’ basic needs.
