France to cooperate in Dominican diplomatic passport scandal
Santo Domingo.– French and local authorities exchange information in in the case of the French-Lebanese businessman Ziad Takieddine, linked to corruption in his country and who was carrying a Dominican diplomatic passport which he allegedly bought for US$200,000.
French ambassador Blandine Kreiss on Monday said she’s confident of the cooperation between the two nations, which president Danilo Medina the diplomat affirms requested, to clarify the case. Dominican Republic and France will cooperate there’s a good cooperation. I know president Medina has asked to clear the case, the cooperation is already starting.”
Kreiss spoke in the inaugural of the French Law conference at the National School of the Judiciary.

Takieddine was arrested by French police Thursday and charge with attempted to escape France with a Dominican diplomatic passport.
