The UK official spoke during a visit to president Danilo Medina at the National Palace, in which British ambassador Steven Fisher also attended, among other British and local officials.

"This is my first visit to the beautiful country of Dominican Republic. I am impressed by what I’ve seen and with the people I’ve met. I can assure you of the British government’s support for projects in the Dominican Republic," the official said.
