Former Miss Ohio seeks US$50M from Dominican TV mogul husband

Santo Domingo.- Former Miss Ohio Sandra Kurdas on Wednesday filed for US$50 million in damages on allegedly battery caused be estranged husband, TV mogul Frank Jorge Elías, indicted on domestic violence.

Kurdas’ lawsuit filed at the National District 5th Instruction Court also calls for the start of criminal proceeding trial against her husband and his return to custody.

In a separate civil suit, the former beauty queen requested damages for the alleged “torture or acts of barbarism, violence against women, gender and domestic violence or violence committed against her.”

The documents filed in court list injuries to her head, face, throat and back caused by the defendant to the victim, leading to medical treatments for mental trauma, torture and psychological violence.
