Medina will not attend UN General Assembly
Santo Domingo.- President Danilo Medina will not attend the UN 68th General Assembly on Wednesday, said Presidency spokesperson Roberto Rodríguez on Sunday.
He said the Head of State decided to cancel the trip to meet with his Cabinet and discuss the details of the 2014Budget.
He said Medina was slated to speak before the UN Assembly, his second participation since taking office.
In last year’s participation Medina urged global financial entities to help overcome poverty in developing countries such as Dominican Republic.
