Some 1,500 police officers to be included in Safety Plan

Santo Domingo.– In order to strengthen the fight against crime, the Police are currently training 1,500 men in the Police Academy in Hatillo, San Cristobal, and Santiago, who will be ready in the coming months.

The information was provided by the National Police Chief Major General Manuel Castro Castillo, who also said the group will be well prepared to join the Safety Plan and serve society.

The police chief spoke after the opening of the Suppliers of Goods and Services Fair, being held at Defense Ministry, where 44 Dominican companies are participating.
