Training of 9,000 responders for 911emergengies advances

Santo Domingo.- The 9,000 members of the various first response agencies that will manage the new integrated 911emergency system, are receiving training from the most effectiveness and attention at the highest international standards.

"911 is much more than an emergency response number, it’s the start of a change in culture in public service, to make it reliable, modern, and efficient and for all," Presidency chief of staff Gustavo Montalvo said, noting the importance of training the professionals.

The official said experts from countries with experience including the U.S., Taiwan, Ecuador and Peru collaborate to ensure that 911 emergency personnel will response at the highest international levels.
