U.S. envoy meets with Dominicans in Obama’s Administration

Santo Domingo.- U.S. ambassador James Brewster and his husband Bob Satawake attended a reception for a group of Americans of Dominican descent named in various posts in the Obama Administration, hosted by Dominican ambassador in Washington, Anibal de Castro.

In an emailed statement, the U.S. Embassy said the activity formed part of the celebrations the Dominican Week in the United States, organized by the American Chamber of Commerce (Amcham).

Dominican Week in the U.S. also includes activities in New York City, home to the biggest Dominican community abroad. It was founded by the late prominent attorney, Luis Heredia Bonetti.
