President leaves for El Salvador today
Santo Domingo.– Dominican president Danilo Medina leaves today for El Salvador to attend the inauguration ceremony of El Salvador’s new president professor Salvador Sanchez Ceren.
Medina’s private flight will leave for San Salvador from San Isidro Air Base at five in the afternoon. His return is scheduled for Sunday night.
The Head of State will be accompanied by a small delegation including Administrative minister Jose Ramon Peralta, Finance minister Simón Lizardo, Interior and Police minister José Ramón Fadul and deputy minister Foreign Affairs minister José Manuel Trullols, among other officials and aides.
Sanchez Ceren, who is the vice president under Mauricio Funes, won his five-year term with 50.11 percent of the votes in a run-off election held in March.
