Three-way pileup kills five in southern Dominican Republic(Update)

Bani, Dominican Republic.- Five people died in a collision Saturday morning, between a Caribe Tours bus, a concrete mixer truck and a Toyota pickup truck, on the southern highway, near the town Paya.
Among the deceased identified thus far figure the truck driver Héctor Manuel Peña, his helper Elvis Pimentel and Raquel Piña, one of the bus passengers.
Local media report that the drivers of the pickup truck and of the bus also passed away, although yet to be identified.
The Fire Dept of Bani said the driver of the pickup truck appeared to be driving under the influence of alcohol.
