Public Health, airlines join forces to prevent Ebola

Santo Domingo.-The Public Health Ministry ordered the delivery of written information about the Ebola virus at Dominican airports and ports to people traveling to the five African countries with indigenous transmission of the disease.

Public Health officials also ordered the Migration agency and the airlines, which handle the entry and exit of passengers, mandatory reporting to the Public Health Ministry’s Epidemiology Department in case there are travelers to those nations.

During a meeting held Friday representatives of airlines, migration and other institutions, under the coordinated of the Emergency Operations Center (COE), agreed to these initiatives.
