Medina orders free consular services for disabled, ill and elderly in NYC

New York.- President Danilo Medina has instructed the Consulate to take the various consular services to the homes of disabled, ill and elderly Dominicans in the city, free of charge.

Luis Lithgow, local Literacy Plan Board chairman made the announcement during the recent Student Merit Awards in which 300 outstanding scholars will send one representative who’ll be received by Medina in the news few days.

Lithgow said he has asked vice consul Tamayo Tejada, head of the Visa Protection and Immigration Advice Dept., to expedite the President’s instructions.
