San Juan.- Puerto Rico Police on Tuesday said it investigates a death threat against Dominican president Danilo Medina, who’s on official visit to the island to sign cooperation agreements with the governor of the U.S. commonwealth, Efe reports.

An anonymous telephone call to Police was received at 9:40am with the threat, said a spokesperson.

The caller, described as a woman who spoke with a Dominican accent, said three men would mount an attack on Medina during his stay in Puerto Rico.

Police are taking the threat seriously, the spokesperson said.
