4.6 magnitude quake jolts north region

Santo Domingo.- A 4.6 magnitude quake has jolted Dominican Republic’s north region Wednesday at 4:10pm, the US Geological Survey reports.

It said the tremor was located 10 kilometers north of the town of Pedro Garcia, 19.685°North Latitude with 70.643°West Longitude, at a depth of 22.0 kilometers.

Pedro Garcia is located some 30 lilometers south of Puerto Plata and 20 north of Santiago.

There are no reports of injuries or damages thus far.
