Juan B. Vicini, Dominican Republic’s first mogul dies at 91

Santo Domingo.- Juan Bautista (Gianni) Vicini, Dominican Republic’s first modern era mogul died today, his eldest son and VICINI CEO Felipe A. Vicini announced 3pm Monday. He was 91.
He had led the Vicini family business in its third generation for over 50 years, laying the groundwork to transform VICINI in to the most important assets administrator in the Caribbean and Central America.
Vicini born in Genoa, Italy April 7, 1924, was the oldest child of Felipe Vicini Perdomo and Amelia Cabral Bermúdez. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Chemical Engineering in 1946.
