It’s clinic’s first death in 10 years, notorious plastic surgeon says

Santo Domingo.- National District prosecutor Yenny B. Reynoso on Wednesday interrogates notorious plastic surgeon Edgar Contreras, blamed for the death of Sharilene Cedeño, 23, after a cosmetic procedure at his clinic.

Upon arriving Contreras said the authorities had no right to shutter his clinic, where he affirms there had been no deaths in10 years, being Cedeño’s demise the first during that time.

He said he performed the surgery but five minutes after the woman had respiratory problems which he affirms led to cardiovascular complications.

Contreras has been under interrogation for more than three hours accompanied by his wife, the clinic’s director Merfry Then, along with his lawyers.
